Divine Justice: A Lesson in Perspective

Divine Justice: A Lesson in Perspective

In the tranquil ambiance of a temple courtyard, three men found themselves engaged in a conversation that would unveil the mysteries of divine justice.

As hunger gnawed at their stomachs, the men contemplated how to divide their meager provisions—three chapatis for one, and five for the other. Yet, when the time came to share, an unexpected guest arrived, and together, they devised a plan to divide the chapattis into equal portions, thus satiating their hunger.

With their bellies full and gratitude in their hearts, the men drifted into slumber, unaware of the gifts that awaited them in the dawn's light. Upon awakening, the guest bestowed upon them eight golden coins—a gesture of gratitude for their hospitality.

Yet, as the men grappled with how to divide the coins amongst themselves, discord arose. Each argued for a distribution that favored their own perceived contribution, but their perspectives were clouded by self-interest and misunderstanding.

Turning to the temple priest for guidance, the men sought resolution for their dilemma. However, even the wise priest found himself perplexed by the complexity of their predicament.

In the quiet of the night, as the priest pondered over the matter, divine intervention unfolded—a dream in which God Himself offered clarity and wisdom. In the divine revelation, God illuminated the true measure of each man's sacrifice and generosity.

For the one who had shared only a fraction of his chapati, his reward was commensurate with his act of kindness—a single coin symbolizing his modest sacrifice. Whereas the other, who had shared the majority of his provisions, was deemed worthy of a greater reward—a testament to his selflessness and generosity.

In the end, the men learned a profound lesson—that divine justice transcends human perception and self-interest. For in the eyes of God, the true worth of our actions is measured not by our own understanding, but by the purity of our intentions and the depth of our compassion.

Thus, the story serves as a poignant reminder that our perspective may be limited, but the justice of the divine is boundless and unfathomable, guiding us towards a path of righteousness and compassion.
