The Justice of Karma

The Justice of Karma

In the tranquil serenity of a serene village, a wise Mahatma strolled alongside his eager disciple, their footsteps echoing softly in the peaceful surroundings. As they traversed a path by the pond, their journey intersected with the actions of a fisherman, setting his traps to ensnare unsuspecting fish.

Witnessing the scene unfold, the disciple, impassioned by his beliefs, intervened to admonish the fisherman against his actions, preaching the virtue of non-violence. Ignoring the disciple's words, the fisherman continued his task, prompting a confrontation between the two.

Taking his disciple aside, the Mahatma imparted his wisdom, urging restraint and trust in the divine justice that governs all actions. He reminded his disciple that it is not for them to punish but to illuminate the path of righteousness.

Years passed, and the Mahatma and his disciple revisited the same pond, only to encounter a different manifestation of karma's justice. A snake lay writhing in agony, besieged by a multitude of ants, the consequences of its past actions unfolding before their eyes.

Moved by compassion, the disciple sought to intervene, but the Mahatma, recognizing the workings of karma, stayed his hand. He explained that the suffering endured by the snake was the fruition of its past deeds, a cycle of cause and effect intricately woven into the fabric of existence.

In the revelation of this divine justice, the disciple gained a deeper understanding of life's mysteries. He realized that every action, whether virtuous or malevolent, carries its own consequences, shaping the destiny of all beings.

Enlightened by the Mahatma's teachings, the disciple embraced the wisdom of karma, recognizing the intrinsic value of every moment and the importance of mindful action. With reverence for the divine order of the universe, he vowed to tread the path of righteousness, guided by the eternal laws of karma.

Moral of the Story:

The tale of the Mahatma and his disciple underscores the profound workings of karma and the immutable justice that governs all actions. Through their journey, we are reminded of the interconnectedness of life and the importance of mindful action. By embracing the wisdom of karma, we can navigate life's complexities with grace and compassion, guided by the eternal principles of righteousness and justice.
